Indoor air quality

A large number of things that we do or own inside an enclosed space releases harmful pollutants into the air around us. If you were to take a look around you, you'd be able to spot more than one pollution causing agent. Amongst pollutants, the most harmful one is known as formaldehyde which is a form of volatile organic compound (VOC).

Declared by WHO as a carcinogenic chemical, formaldehyde is released by cleaning agents, stoves, paint, adhesives, insulation materials and upholstered furnitures. Prolonged exposure to it may result in fatigue, eye irritations, breathing problems, headaches, nausea and allergies amongst others.

Gyproc Activ'Air was designed to eradicate this problem by removing up to 70% of harmful airborne chemicals. With Activ'Air technology built into its core, Gyproc plasterboards are able to capture formaldehyde and other VOCs and turn it into inert compounds effectively for up to 50 years.
